Make most of extended weekend to spend with family on Family Day

​Brampton, February 11: Family Day recognizes the importance of families in our community and residents are encouraged to spend time with their loved ones!

 This year, Family Day takes place on February 17 and as a result, a number of City services will be unavailable or will operate under reduced service levels.

Brampton City Hall will be closed on Family Day. Residents will not be able to apply in person for marriage licences, book civil wedding ceremonies, pay parking fines, or apply for permits or renew or apply for business licences during this time.  

Several services will continue to operate normally, including Fire and Emergency Services, City of Brampton By-law Enforcement and Animal Control.

Residents can call 311 or 905.874.2000 (outside of Brampton), use the Brampton 311 app (available on App Store or Google Play) or email for any inquiries. We are available 24/7 for any City of Brampton or Region of Peel matters, including parking, garbage collection, recreation programs and more.


Brampton Transit

Brampton Transit will provide Sunday/Holiday Service on Family Day.
